While thinking about the trip to India and Nepal, the guidebooks often mentioned that bicycles and motorcycles are a popular way to get around. Before I got there, I thought that might be a good thing to do, but after my first week of India and Nepal traffic and road conditions, I backed off and looked at the many options, but I stuck to trucks, trains, rickshaws, taxis and walking. Later, in rural Rajasthan, I got the chance to ride a motorcycle around the countryside, and it was great, but the traffic in the cities is fierce, and I still don't feel up to that.
