The Royal Center at Hampi is a large area where there is not much left of the buildings except a few temples and many foundations of what look like they were pavilions of some sort. I suspect that much of the stone was scavenged as building material after the decline of the city. The local roadways and homes have stone slabs similar to those of the remaining temples and buildings.
