Jodhpur - another tourist hot spot

Umaid Bhawan Palace, built in 1929, was the last of the great palaces to be built in Rajasthan. It is a great palace in the medieval feudal kingdom tradition, but those times are past, and it is now one of the heritage luxury hotels where people come to live like kings for a few days.
Camunda Devi Temple, on the hill near the fort.

Jodhpur is known as the blue city, and many residents near the fort play along with it and paint part of their homes and businesses blue.

The clock tower is the tourist landmark. Everyone knows where it is and you can see it from a ways off. In the late afternoon and early it is a bustling market area for locals and for tourists.
