Daulatabad - climb to the top

The entry to the tunnel stairway, and the bats on the ceiling above.
In the hot sun of central India, the climb to the top of the 600 ft hill was a warm climb, but there was a gentle breeze of dry air when I got to the top, and that felt good. Fortunately I brought plenty of water with me. The way up is a mix of stone pathways and stairs. Some of the stairs are in dark tunnels carved out of the rock. Fortunately, I also brought my flashlight, generally known as torch over here. The tunnel stairways were dark and chirping with the sound of bats. At some places, there was a good coating of bat droppings on the stairs.
