The Himalaya Mountains were not in view from downtown Kathmandu. I had seen them from the distance, and would several times again, but I wanted a closer look, and I did not feel prepared, nor up to, a 10 day trek, so I took a tourist mountain fly-by, a quick trip to 23,000 ft and 10 miles from Everest. It was short and sweet, and I don't think that I would do it again, but I am glad that I did it.
